Once again Herose were represented at the AIIGMA (All Indian Industrial Gas Manufacturing Association) 38th Seminar for Industrial Gases that was held in Colombo, Sri Lanka. Many global industrial gas and equipment manufacturers were represented with the Right Honourable Ravi Karunanayake, Finance Minister of Sri Lanka & Anish Patel, Vice-President of AIIGMA officially opening the event.
The theme for this year’s event was “From Surviving to Thriving” that touched on the industries mood from recent years and how they expect to see it develop and grow over the next few years. There were many presentations and Keith Stewart’s presentation topic was “New Applications in a SAFER LOWER COST Industry”. This highlighted tried and tested applications that are being used globally where major savings can be found. It also highlighted the product development at Herose that is increasing valve life to reduce costs for all users.
At the event, Herose had the world travelled “BIG MURPH” – with its highly modulating putting green – on the exhibition stand where Sankalp Tiwari was the scorekeeper and Keith Stewart gave instruction (or abuse!) depending on the player. Over 140 people tried their putting skills and from a final of 17 players, 3 winners broke through. Louie Lim scored 7 holes-in-one out of 9 putts, raising the question on how much time he spends on the golf course. We look forward to seeing Louie at the Herose (UK) Golf Day in the UK in July.
