At HEROSE UK Limited, we strive to keep our customers happy, below you will find a selection of the most frequently asked questions raised by our customers.

Q) Within the PED is it essential that safety valves are CE marked and to what category?

A) Yes, in the EU if a valve is being used as primary protection of downstream equipment then it is classified as a safety accessory. This means that it should be CE marked and approved in accordance with Cat IV of the PED. All our valves where applicable are Cat IV approved and marked.

Q) Do other control valves fall under classification of the PED?

A) In the EU All pressure containing parts above 1.1/4” in size are required to be CE marked and approved to Cat IV of the PED. Again, all our valves where applicable are Cat IV approved and marked.

Q) Are relief valves classified as safety valves under the PED?

A) No, if a safety valve is installed to protect pipework against thermal expansion it is not classified as a safety accessory, however relief valves should still be PED approved in accordance with Cat I.

Q) Are Herose valves TPED approved?

A) Yes, all valves that are approved in accordance with Cat IV of the PED are TPED approved.

Q) Are your valves cleaned and degreased for Oxygen service?

A) Yes, all our range for industrial gases and liquids, not only oxygen, are cleaned, de-greased and bagged for O2 service to the highest standards.

Q) Are your valves cryogenically tested in accordance with EN1626?

A) Yes, our cryogenic valves are all tested in accordance with EN1626 and other global industry standards.

Q) Do you have ASME approval for valves installed on equipment to be used in the USA?

A) Yes, a selection of our valves do carry ASME approval and these are UV stamped, we have various other global approvals including the Chinese safety licence approval, a listing is available on request.

Q) Do you have Fire Safe Approval for use with LNG?

A) Yes, our globally proven range of cryogenic globe valves is Fire Safe approved in accordance with EN ISO 10497 for LNG service.  The Herose range is certified for use not only designed in accordance with the standard.

Q ) Are you ISO 9001 approved?

A) Yes, Herose Limited has full ISO 9001 quality approval accreditation; this extends to all our special services.

Q) Can you offer full material traceability?

A) Yes, all raw materials that enter our factory are tested for alloy content and strength prior to entering our stores. Full material certificates in accordance with EN10204 3.1B are supplied against orders.

Q) How are your shipping charges calculated?

A) All shipments under 80 Kgs are shipped with TNT or UPS depending upon end destination, the shipping charges are invoiced at cost. Over 80Kgs we use a common freight forwarder which again will be invoiced at cost.

Q) What is your standard lead time?

A) If the valves you require are not from our UK stock then standard lead time is 4 weeks ex-works. We can usually improve for rush orders if required.

Q) What is your standard product warranty?

A) Our products carry a standard warranty of 12 months from date of installation or 18 months from date of order.

Q) Do you have an effective return policy in place?

A) Yes, All returns are documented and tested in house by qualified personnel. Returns are photographed and tested with a full report provided as to the cause of the fault. If any goods are deemed to be faulty they will be replaced free of charge with no questions asked.
